Penny & Peter
Coming from a military backgrounds and having traveled widely, Peter and Penny finally decided to settle in Brittany, very similar to Peter’s native Scotland.
Combining Penny’s interior design background and Peter’s engineering knowledge, they rescued the manor house and it’s land from natures grip, after being abandoned for many years. After 10 years of hard restoration work, the manor rediscovered it’s individual charm and beauty.
Penny loves running the manoir, welcoming guests and spends the rest of her time preparing delicious breakfast and evening meals. Peter can be found in the garden tending the lawns and hedges. They try to use as much as possible of the fruit and vegetables from the organic kitchen pottager for the guest’s meals.
The Whippets
As dog lover’s, the manor has seen several generations, firstly of Cavalier King Charles spaniels and more lately whippets. The three whippets have a lovely nature and are very much part of the family.
There is one that is a little ‘territorial’ which is why, unfortunately, other dogs or pets are not allowed to accompany their owners here.
